Riding Instructor/Asst. Manager | FT


Experienced Riding Instructor/ Assistant Barn Manager desired for private facility in Jupiter, Florida.  The primary responsibility of this program is to assist with barn management closing duties, run the US Pony Club program, and plan and execute summer camps or private parties.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced instructor to instruct/coach 8 students and school 7 horses with a limited local show schedule.

Duties Include:

  • Exercising (flat and jumping to 3’6) horses
  • Training & Schooling lesson horses
  • Private riding instruction for family and guests (adults and children)
  • Instructing under US Pony Club curriculum
  • Setting up arena obstacles and jumps each week
  • Training/schooling horses for therapy, trail riding, Hunter/Jumper, and obstacles.
  • Creating Gymkana program and Summer Camp horsemanship programs for youth
  • 10 local horse shows per year
  • Drive 4 horse goose-neck trailer
  • Coordinate special events (pony parties, tours, summer camp, etc.)
  • Handle training and presentation of sale horses
  • Handling all paperwork and registration for shows
  • Plan and oversee special events (riding clinics, summer camps, pony parties)


  • Minimum 7 years previous riding instruction experience.
  • Minimum 2 years barn management experience
  • CPR/First Aid certification

Experience Preferred, but not mandatory:

  • Gymkana Games
  • PATH Certified Riding Instructor
  • Vaulting Experience
  • Combined Driving experience
  • Eventing Experience

Full time schedule:

(September 1- May 31)
Tuesday- Friday 10AM-6PM
Saturday 7AM-6PM (unless show schedule dictates otherwise)

Summer Schedule (June- August)

Tuesday- Thursday  is 8-1

Friday 7-5P

Saturday 3-6PM (unless show schedule dictates otherwise)


$30 per hour
